How is Muhurtha Determined?
- Panchang Analysis
The five limbs of the Panchang are carefully analyzed:
- Tithi (Lunar Day): Indicates the nature and strength of the day.
- Vara (Weekday): Each weekday is governed by a different planet.
- Nakshatra (Constellation): The Moon’s position among the 27 Nakshatras influences the suitability of activities.
- Yoga: Represents the combined influence of the Sun and Moon.
- Karana: Half of a Tithi, providing additional insight into favorable timings.
2.Planetary Positions
- Strength of the Ascendant (Lagna)
- Placement of benefic planets such as Jupiter and Venus
- Avoidance of malefic influences from Saturn, Mars, Rahu, and Ketu where applicable
- Moon’s strength and freedom from affliction
